I am presently reading the novel about this adandoned girl living mostly alone with wildlife in the coastal marshes of North Carolina. Recording and drawing all of it. There come commerce, science, art, household, romance and wrongful accusations of murder. The heart of reproach and dignity sustained has been well chronicled here.
